A sailing we will go

The other day while feeding Luke, I made up this nursery rhyme. I also included the notes so you can hear the tune.

All aboard the ship my crew,
all aboard mateys.
Ahoy, Luke! Ahoy, Luke!
A sailing we will go.
A sailing we will go.

Stash the cargo in the hold,
stow your trunk below.
Ahoy, Luke! Ahoy, Luke!
A sailing we will go.
A sailing we will go.

A compass and a treasure map,
a parrot and a patch.
Ahoy, Luke! Ahoy, Luke!
A sailing we will go.
A sailing we will go.

Around and round the sea we sail,
around the world we go.
Ahoy, Luke! Ahoy, Luke!
A sailing we will go.
A sailing we will go.

The notes piano style
f f f g a c c
f f f g a
c c a c c a
bflat a a g g f
bflat a a g g f

You could also put your own child's name in

the third line would be (c c a f c c a f) for a 2 syllable name,
(ccaaf) for a 3 syllable name, or (ccaaaf) for a four syllable name.

What an adorable song! This just came to you? While you were multi-tasking feeding and singing? That is awesome.

Thanks for including a variation for two-syllable Joseph! I can't wait to sing it with the boys.

I visited the Quarino's last night. They're visiting their daughter, Virginie, who lives in Nephi, UT. Frere Quarino asked about you and seemed a little disappointed that he doesn't have ta nouvelle. Il faut lui ajuter comme ami sur facebook! They are doing awesome. They said Karla still goes to church and she speaks French fluently now. She and Cedric have two kids.
